Beyond the table
What the price buys at every plan
Hosted in Germany, with the processing boundary published
Core application services and primary datastores are hosted in Germany, and encrypted recovery backups are kept in the EU. Every other provider that processes customer data is published with its purpose and location.
Euro-native reporting, with GBP when you need it
Prices are in euros, and so is the default presentation of cost. Any plan can present cost in GBP or another supported currency, with the exchange-rate method stated on the report.

Plan and billing questions
How is a plan priced, and what is tracked spend?
Every plan is a flat monthly price per organization, with no per-seat price and no percentage of your cloud bill. The price covers a band of tracked spend: the cloud cost Costfluent processes for the organization in a month, across all of its connections.
What happens when spend goes above my plan's band?
Going above the band never locks you out of your data. After the first completed month above it we tell the organization's owners. On a paid plan, after two months in a row above it, the plan moves to the plan whose band covers that spend at a renewal at least 14 days after we announce it. On Free, two completed months in a row above the band pause collection: the cost already collected and your reports stay available, and moving to a paid plan resumes collection. When the spend falls in the Custom band, the plan does not move on its own: Custom is arranged with us, and we get in touch.
Does Costfluent bill my cloud spend?
No. Your cloud providers invoice you as before. Costfluent reads their billing data and charges only the monthly price of a paid plan.
Do prices include VAT?
Published prices are net of VAT. Where VAT applies to your organization, it is added to each invoice. Every invoice shows the net amount, the VAT treatment and the total.
Which currency are prices in, and can I see cost in pounds?
Published prices are monthly euro prices, and invoices are in euros. Inside the product, cost is shown in euros by default, and any plan can present it in GBP or another supported currency with the exchange-rate method stated.
How can I pay, and when is a card charged?
Pro is paid by card. Business is paid by card or SEPA direct debit at checkout, or by bank transfer against an invoice on request. Custom is paid by bank transfer against an invoice. A card is charged, or a SEPA direct debit collected, when you move to the plan and then at each monthly renewal; Free is never billed.
What happens when I upgrade or downgrade?
An upgrade takes effect as soon as its payment succeeds and charges the prorated amount for the rest of the current period at once. A downgrade takes effect at the end of the current period, and you keep the higher plan until then. Cost is kept for three years on every plan; anomalies, measured savings and ingestion checks older than the new plan's history are deleted once it applies.
What happens when I cancel?
The organization moves to Free at the end of the current period and your data stays readable within Free's limits. Every connection stays connected, because no plan limits connections. When Free allows fewer allocation rules than you have, the ones created first keep working, the rest pause, and no rule is deleted. Cost is kept for three years; anomalies, measured savings and ingestion checks older than Free's six months of history are deleted. If tracked spend then stays above Free's band, collection pauses after two completed months in a row, as for any Free organization.
How many connections can I add?
As many as you need, on every plan. No plan limits connections: connect every billing account or billing export of AWS, Azure or Google Cloud you use, and every Kubernetes cluster running the agent. Plans differ in their band of tracked spend, their history and their features, as the table shows.
What is the difference between history and backfill?
History is how far back a report can reach. Backfill is how far back Costfluent imports the provider's billing data from before you connected. On Free and Pro the backfill is 6 months, all of it imported when you connect. On Business and Custom it is 13 months: connecting imports the last 6 months, and the rest is collected on request, from the connection's page or through the API, as far back as the provider still holds data. Cost is kept for three years whatever the plan. Anomalies, measured savings and ingestion checks older than a plan's history are deleted once that plan applies, so moving to a plan with less history removes them.
Do the Public API, Terraform and MCP need a paid plan?
Yes. API tokens are part of Pro and every plan above it. The Terraform provider and the MCP server authenticate with an API token, so they come with the API.
What does Custom include, and how does it start?
Custom has no tracked-spend ceiling and adds the finance controls we deliver with you: an exchange-rate policy with a named source and closed periods, and invoice reconciliation against your provider invoices. Savings verification and a data processing agreement are marked as planned. It has no published price: it is quoted for your organization after a call, set out in an order form, paid by bank transfer against an invoice, and has no checkout.
