For EU companies
Cloud costs in euro for companies in the EU
AWS, Azure and Google Cloud bill in dollars or in the agreement's currency, and a company in the EU closes its month in euro. Costfluent converts every figure at European Central Bank reference rates, runs in Germany under German law, and prices its plans in euro.

What differs in the EU
Euro figures, invoices as billed, data in Germany and the EU
Euro at European Central Bank reference rates
Every figure converts to euro at the published euro reference rates, by monthly average or by transaction date, and each converted figure states the amount before conversion and its method.
Invoices with VAT or with the reverse-charge note
Which of the two a provider sends depends on its billing entity and your country, so the invoice is checked beside the cost report, not read from it. Costfluent reports the billing data the provider exports; the invoice check is a finance step, described in the article below.
Hosted in Germany, backups in the EU
Core application services and primary datastores are hosted in Germany, and encrypted recovery backups are kept elsewhere in the EU. The published sub-processor list names every provider that processes customer data, with what it does and where.
An EU company under German law
Costfluent was founded and is built in Frankfurt am Main, its terms follow German law, and it processes customer data under the GDPR. The sovereignty page defines what digital sovereignty means here, names the exceptions, and self-assesses the product against the EU Cloud Sovereignty Framework without claiming a level.
Plans priced in euro
Every plan is priced in euro, the permanent Free plan included, so the cost of the tool itself needs no conversion.
How to read VAT and the reverse-charge note on a provider invoice: AWS and Azure invoices: reverse charge or local VAT?
