Showback
Show each team the cloud cost it owns
Showback means showing each team what its cloud usage costs, so the people who spend the money can see it. Costfluent goes from the tags you already have to a report each team receives on a schedule, with the unallocated share in plain view.

The visibility gap
The bill reaches finance, not the team that caused it
Teams spend what they cannot see
The people who create the cost rarely see it. The invoice goes to finance, and the engineer who left a cluster running hears about it a month later, if at all.
Tags say less than they should
The same meaning hides under several keys and spellings, and coverage drops as new resources arrive untagged.
A filter is not ownership
A filter finds cost; only a rule assigns responsibility. When a team reorganises, the rules should change, not every report.
In the product
From tag coverage to a report per team
Tag coverage first
The insights page shows how much of the cost sits on tagged resources and which keys carry the most, before anyone writes a rule. A coverage alert tells you when it falls below a threshold.
One ownership value per cost line
A virtual tag reads several keys in order and fills the gaps with rules. Its preview shows what stays unmatched until the rest is small enough to explain.
Segments and ordered rules
One segment per team, product or cost centre, assigned by rules from the most specific to the most general, with the unallocated share on its own line.
A report per team
A saved report grouped by segment for the whole picture, and one per team filtered to its value, pinned to a dashboard so a lead sees every team at once.
Delivered on a schedule
Each team's report goes to its email destination weekly or monthly, as a link to the live report rather than a frozen copy.
